About the role
As a Civil Engineering Senior Project Manager in the Waste Management Practice for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), in our Oklahoma City, OK office, you will manage project teams to complete engineering tasks such as airspace and earthwork volume calculations, prepare and review technical reports, design stormwater management systems, leachate collection systems, and landfill gas collection systems, perform geotechnical analyses, as well as prepare landfill grading plans and project details and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage project proposals and budgets
- Directly responsible for managing the engineering staff and ensuring quality control
- Interact with clients, contractors, and local/state government officials throughout the project lifecycle
- Mentor and assist in the professional development of the staff, including conducting annual reviews and setting development goals
- Collaborate with senior management teams to customize your career path through various professional development and mentoring activities
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in Civil Engineering
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field), Master's degree in Civil Engineering preferred
- Professional Engineer licensure (P.E.) with registration in OK or ability to obtain
- Demonstrated experience with technical software and Civil Engineering technology, including AutoCAD Civil 3D, hydraulic/hydrologic modeling software, and geotechnical modeling software
- Established clients/contacts in the Solid Waste client sectors
- Experience in scoping of service and budget (proposal) developments, and demonstrated ability to manage projects profitably
- Participation in both client- and professional development-based organizations
- Professional communication skills (speaking and writing), including experience communicating with staff, clients, contractors, and government regulatory officials
- Experience coordinating the regulatory agency review process
