About the role

As a Civil Engineering Assistant Project Manager for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in our Pittsburgh, PA office, you will work with project teams to create civil engineering site development designs, develop permitting and construction plans, and prepare municipal zoning and land development applications for our commercial, industrial, institutional, and energy clients.

Responsibilities

  • Create civil engineering site development designs
  • Develop permitting and construction plans
  • Prepare municipal zoning and land development applications
  • Design site layouts, site grading, erosion and sedimentation controls, stormwater management facilities, and site utilities
  • Interact with clients, contractors, and local government officials
  • Impact the project from conceptual and design phases through regulatory review, bidding, and construction
  • Coordinate with other practices to address project-specific needs
  • Mentor junior staff on technical items
  • Attend industry organization and client meetings

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ years of professional engineering experience
  • Engineering In Training (EIT) certification required or Professional Engineer licensure (P.E.) preferred
  • Proficiency in computer modeling software, including AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD, and Storm Sewers
  • Desire and ability to mentor junior staff

Pay

$5,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates
