Civil Engineering - Assistant Project Manager
About the role
You’ll work with project teams to create land development plans for our commercial, institutional, and energy clients. You’ll take part in designing site layouts, grading plans, stormwater management facilities, water quality best management practices, and utilities. By interacting with clients, contractors, and local government officials, you’ll impact the entire project—from the conceptual and design phases through the regulatory review process, bidding, and construction.
Responsibilities
- Create and manage land development plans for various clients
- Design site layouts, grading plans, stormwater management facilities, water quality BMPs, and utilities
- Interact with clients, contractors, and local government officials throughout the project lifecycle
- Participate in the regulatory review process, bidding, and construction phases
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)
- 5+ years of civil engineering experience; or a relevant combination of experience and education, to include site layout, grading, stormwater, and utility design
- Engineering in Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification and ability/desire to obtain Professional Engineering License (P.E.)
- Practical experience with technical software and Civil Engineering technology, including AutoCAD/Civil 3D and Hydrologic/Hydraulic modeling software
