Civil Engineer - Water

About the role

Join our team of dedicated civil engineers focused on large-scale water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You will play a crucial role in delivering projects by leading significant portions of various facilities throughout the design and construction phases.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute design plans for projects from conceptual to completion phases
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure project needs and requirements are met
• Assist in the development of reports, technical memos, and detailed designs
• Manage budgets and schedules for infrastructure projects
• Interface with clients and sub-consultants to ensure project goals are achieved
• Support business development efforts by writing technical approaches and scopes of work
• Apply knowledge of civil engineering concepts, practices, codes, and procedures to complex projects
• Lead and mentor less experienced engineers
• Communicate client interests and drivers to the project team
• Prepare complex engineering deliverables and perform research
• Manage assigned budgets, schedules, and quality requirements
• Oversee the collection, assimilation, and management of data for engineering work
• Lead smaller production teams and serve as the responsible charge for projects

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or actively pursuing registration
• Thorough understanding of water and wastewater design
• Experience in leading portions of complex projects

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years related work experience
• Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements
• Professional engineering registration preferred or in active pursuit

Skills

• Knowledge of civil engineering concepts, practices, codes, and procedures
• Ability to develop non-standard design solutions
• Effective communication and leadership skills
• Proficiency in using relevant software tools
