Civil Engineer - Water

About the role

The role involves focusing on large-scale water and wastewater infrastructure projects, performing design tasks, assisting in project management, and participating in business development activities.

Responsibilities

• Perform design of projects from the conceptual and bid phase through design completion
• Aid in maintaining project schedules and budgets
• Manage sub-consultants under the direction of the Engineering Manager
• Interface directly with clients or sub-consultants
• Support business development through writing technical approaches and scopes of work
• Apply knowledge of civil engineering concepts and practices
• Lead portions of complex projects with guidance and mentorship
• Communicate client interests and drivers to project team members
• Prepare a variety of complex engineering deliverables
• Conduct independent evaluations and selections of engineering techniques
• Review engineering work and assignments of early career professionals

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• Licensed PE or ability to obtain PE and/or be in active pursuit of registration
• Thorough understanding of water and wastewater design
• Minimum of 5 years related work experience

Qualifications

• Preferred qualifications include a Professional Engineering registration
• Strong understanding of civil engineering concepts and practices
• Experience with complex projects and problem-solving
• Excellent communication and leadership skills

Salary range for this position is determined based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

This role offers a hybrid or flexible work option after the first 90 days of employment, based on manager discretion, job performance, and work assignments.
