Civil Engineer - Water

About the role

Join our team of dedicated civil engineers focused on water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You will play a crucial role in the design and delivery of projects, from conceptual to construction phases.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed designs, specifications, and cost estimates for water and wastewater projects
• Collaborate with project managers and sub-consultants to ensure project timelines and budgets are met
• Assist in the preparation of contract documents and participate in business development activities
• Coordinate with project teams and communicate client interests and concerns
• Support the Engineering Manager in managing project schedules and budgets
• Lead portions of complex projects under the direction of the Engineering Manager
• Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineers
• Prepare complex engineering deliverables and perform independent evaluations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or actively pursuing registration
• Experience in water and wastewater design
• Ability to lead and mentor others

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of related work experience
• Thorough understanding of civil engineering concepts, practices, codes, and procedures
• Knowledge of regularly used civil concepts, practices, codes, and procedures within the water engineering industry
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Skills

• Proficiency in civil engineering software
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
