About the role
The Civil Engineer/Project Manager position is available in our Miami office. This role offers exciting challenges while managing design teams on single and multi-discipline projects.
Responsibilities
- Project engineering and management including project oversight, setting priorities and developing objectives, project financial management as well as hands-on involvement in the design process.
- The ability to serve as a technical resource for site civil team members.
- Business development activities including proposal preparation, project interviews/presentations, and client management.
- Managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced multidiscipline environment.
- Professional society involvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in designing and managing a wide variety of site development projects, municipal roadway and utility projects.
- Knowledge of stormwater management design and permitting regulations.
- Knowledge of municipal utility design including sanitary sewer and water main.
- Experience managing a group would be considered a plus.
- Abilities to manage and mentor staff and successfully lead a group is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multi-discipline and architect-led team on large facility projects.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License in Florida.
- Good communication skills and a proven track record in successfully interacting with clients and internal team members is necessary.
- Success in business development planning, including developing strategic business plans, marketing activities, client development, presentation experience and proposal development is a desired.
- Proficient with Autodesk Civil3D, hydrology and hydraulic software.
