About the role

GEI is expanding and seeks a Civil Engineer/Project Manager to join our Mount Laurel, New Jersey office. The ideal candidate will assist with large design projects, manage projects of various sizes, mentor staff, and develop strong client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Aid Senior Project Managers with large design projects
  • Manage all sizes of Civil Engineering design projects
  • Direct project activities of staff level engineers
  • Evaluate and analyze collected data and prepare technical reports, letters, and memoranda
  • Develop design and construction drawings, technical specifications, bid documents, and project schedules
  • Develop and meet project plans, schedules, and budgets
  • Prepare proposals to provide professional services and pursue new business opportunities
  • Support other GEI offices with proposals and professional services
  • Represent GEI in communications and conferences
  • Travel to project sites and other offices as required, including overnight travel

Requirements

  • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering with an M.S. degree preferred
  • 5-15 years of professional experience
  • Registered Professional Engineer (preferably New Jersey and/or Pennsylvania) or the ability to obtain license within a year
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to assist with supervision and review other’s work
  • Ability to mentor junior staff and assist with their career growth
  • Ability to assist with building strong client relationships and desire to obtain new business
  • Willingness to travel on assignments as necessary, including field assignments

Qualifications

  • Must have a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering
  • Preferred to have an M.S. degree in Civil Engineering
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in Civil Engineering
  • Must be registered as a Professional Engineer in New Jersey and/or Pennsylvania
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must be able to assist with supervision and review other’s work
  • Must be able to mentor junior staff and assist with their career growth
  • Must be able to assist with building strong client relationships and desire to obtain new business
  • Must be willing to travel on assignments as necessary, including field assignments

Pay

Pay Range For This Position: $100,000.00 – $130,000.00/year
