Civil Engineer P5 - Senior
About the role
We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our well-established technical group in our Sarasota, FL office. This position offers numerous project challenges for an Engineer to apply their technical understanding and application of engineering principles and practices to a variety of multi-discipline civil projects throughout SW Florida.
Responsibilities
- Project engineering and management
- Client management, including ability to make fluent presentations, and client development activities
- Provide project engineering and task management
- Conduct collection systems modeling and design
- Collect and present data in reports, memos, and meetings
- Lead design calculations and technical reports
- Prepare engineering plans and specifications for design of facilities and related infrastructure
- Serve as a technical resource for a multi-disciplined team
- Work independently in addition to planning, organizing, and assisting professionals
- Aid in training and mentoring of less experienced staff
- Assist with planning, plan formulation, and concept development
- Support project permitting efforts with various regulatory and municipal entities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Master’s degree a plus
- Minimum of 8 years of technical experience in stormwater systems, water quality, storm water collection systems, and pipeline design
- Professional Engineer registration in FL
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Project management experience is required
