Key Responsibilities
- Perform engineering calculations for civil engineering design projects.
- Aid in the preparation of plans, details, specifications, and bidding documents.
- Occasionally draft in support of design projects.
- Coordinate with agencies, client staff, and other professionals to obtain design information and approvals.
- Prepare and route project-related correspondence and record-keeping.
- Using advanced knowledge, write and edit construction specifications and engineering reports.
- Absorb and calculate construction bid quantities from plans and specifications.
- Exercise discretion and judgment in all work tasks.
Skills/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field by May 2027 required.
- Previous engineering internship or co-op experience desired.
- An Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification is preferred, or the ability to pass the FE exam within 12 months of employment.
- Excellent written and communication skills and strong math and science skills.
- Must be proficient in using Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Bluebeam, and Project software.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil3D is highly desirable.
- Ability to prioritize special projects and daily workload to ensure timely and efficient completion.
- Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team environment.
- Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours, if required.
