About the role

We are seeking experienced Civil Engineers-In-Training (EIT) to join our dynamic team in various locations including Tualatin, Bend, Keizer, Vancouver, and Seattle. This role offers opportunities for growth and exposure to a wide range of projects and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Design streets and utilities in compliance with state, county, and city standards.
  • Run hydrology/hydraulic calculations for stormwater management systems.
  • Perform plan and callout reviews to ensure all technical calculations are included.
  • Prepare stormwater runoff calculations, designs, and reports.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external subconsultants to maintain project progress.
  • Utilize Civil 3D for drafting tasks such as importing points, creating line work, setting up alignments, grading, running earthwork calculations, and managing survey points.
  • Generate and compile submittal packages for land use applications, construction plans, survey records, and other documents.
  • Engage with clients, agencies, and project stakeholders to enhance consulting skills and client management abilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or equivalent with EIT certification and active pursuit of PE licensure.
  • 1 to 5 years of civil design experience, preferably with increasing project management responsibilities.
  • Intermediate skills in Civil 3D and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent coordination abilities, and the ability to handle multiple deadlines efficiently.
  • A proactive and organized approach to work, ensuring high-quality deliverables on time and within budget.
  • Able to take initiative and support team efforts, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • A desire to develop consulting skills and gain exposure to diverse project types, clients, and challenges.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with HydroCAD or similar software for stormwater modeling and analysis.
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam for plan and document review and markup.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, especially with clients and agencies.
  • Experience in mentoring and supporting junior staff.
