About the role
The Department of Facility Maintenance (DFM) , Storm Water Quality Division is recruiting for four (4) Civil Engineer II positions located at Kapolei Hale.
Responsibilities
- Aid in engineering projects related to the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) Storm Water Management Program.
- Plan, design, construction management, product evaluation, research & development, system optimization, database management, and Geographical Information System (GIS) mapping.
- May participate in periodic cross training and supplementary work activities within the division to comply with regulatory obligations.
Requirements
- Education: Equivalent to graduation from a regionally-accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor’s degree in an engineering specialty.
- Experience: One (1) year of non-registered professional civil engineering experience.
- Skills: Knowledge of principles and practices of general civil engineering, engineering mathematics and mechanics of materials, topographic surveying principles and practices, structural, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and sanitary engineering concepts as they apply to civil engineering; ability to perform engineering drafting and basic design work, interpret engineering plans, specifications, and land descriptions, plot and analyze survey notes, prepare maps, plans, profiles, and cross-sections.
