About the role
J+M Infrastructure seeks experienced Civil Construction Heavy Equipment Operators to join their dynamic team. Located in Charlottesville and the Lynchburg, VA area, they assist with new construction projects including demolition, clearing, excavation, asphalt paving, concrete work, water mains, sewer and storm drainage.
Responsibilities
- Operate various heavy equipment including Trackhoe, Backhoe, Dozer, End Dump, Skid Steers, Wheel and Track Loader, Mini Excavator, and Roller.
- Perform tasks such as demolition, clearing, excavation, asphalt paving, concrete work, water mains, sewer and storm drainage.
- Read a tape measure.
- Lift up to 60 lbs, squat, and climb ladders.
- Work occasional Saturdays.
- Maintain a positive attitude and willingness to get hands dirty.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience preferred in civil engineering field.
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- Ability to lift 60 lbs, squat, and climb ladders.
- Virginia resident.
- Leader looking to grow.
- Pass drug test/screening.
- Valid driver's license required, CDL preferred.
- Concrete experience preferred.
- Pipe laying experience preferred.
