Civil Construction Heavy Equipment Operator

About the role

J+M Infrastructure seeks experienced Civil Construction Heavy Equipment Operators to join their dynamic team. Located in Charlottesville and the Lynchburg, VA area, they offer a range of heavy equipment operations including demolition, clearing, excavation, asphalt paving, concrete work, water mains, sewer and storm drainage.

Responsibilities

- Operate various heavy equipment such as Trackhoe, Backhoe, Dozer, End Dump, Skid Steers, Wheel and Track Loader, Mini Excavator, and Roller. - Perform tasks requiring physical labor, including lifting up to 60 lbs, squatting, and climbing ladders. - Read and follow blueprints and specifications. - Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations. - Communicate effectively with other team members and supervisors.

Requirements

- At least 5 years of experience in civil engineering field. - Ability to read a tape measure. - Physical ability to lift 60 lbs, squat, and climb ladders. - Valid Virginia driver's license, with a CDL preferred. - Concrete and pipe laying experience preferred. - Must be a leader willing to grow within the company. - Must pass a drug test/screening. - Available to work occasional Saturdays.
