Civil Construction Heavy Equipment Operator

About the role

J+M Infrastructure seeks experienced Civil Construction Heavy Equipment Operators to join their dynamic team. Located in Charlottesville and the Lynchburg, VA area, they assist with new construction projects including demolition, clearing, excavation, asphalt paving, concrete work, water mains, sewer and storm drainage.

Responsibilities

- Operate various heavy equipment including Trackhoe, Backhoe, Dozer, End Dump, Skid Steers, Wheel and Track Loader, Mini Excavator, and Roller. - Perform tasks such as demolition, clearing, excavation, asphalt paving, concrete work, water mains, sewer and storm drainage. - Lift up to 60 lbs, squat, and climb ladders. - Read a tape measure. - Work on construction sites in Charlottesville and the Lynchburg, VA area. - Be available to work occasional Saturdays.

Requirements

- 5 years of experience preferred in civil engineering field. - Must be able to read a tape measure. - Must be able to lift 60 lbs, squat and climb ladders. - Must be a Virginia resident. - Must be a leader who is looking to grow. - Must pass drug test/screening. - Valid driver’s license required, CDL preferred. - Concrete experience preferred. - Pipe laying experience preferred.
