About the role
The Assistant General Manager will direct, manage, and successfully open and operate a high-volume branded concept on CityWalk. This role oversees planning, organizing, training, and leadership to achieve objectives in sales, costs, team member retention, guest service, food quality, cleanliness, and sanitation. The position drives operating profit goals, optimizes profits by controlling costs, ensures operational excellence, develops talent, and ensures compliance with all relevant laws and brand standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support the management team in training and coaching staff for “Best in Class” service standards.
- Analyze financial reports to identify and address trends in cost of goods, variable labor, and profitability.
- Exceed annual operating profit targets by controlling food, beverage, and labor costs.
- Ensure high team member and guest engagement while promoting the company’s mission and values.
- Maintain or exceed weekly budgeted variable operation profit through cost control.
- Communicate restaurant results to the General Manager with recommendations for improvement.
- Partner with Human Resources to train and develop restaurant leaders at all levels.
- Prepare and present hourly team member reviews and complete tasks assigned by the General Manager on time.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws regarding food quality, safety, labor, and employment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of management experience in a high-quality chain or independent restaurant group.
- Thorough knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and POS systems.
- Ability to work rotating schedules, including holidays, weekends, and nights.
Qualifications
- Proven track record in developing and implementing training programs to reduce employee attrition and foster internal culture.
- Excellent management skills for leading diverse teams under tight deadlines.
- Strong P&L experience with command of budgeting and cost controls.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively across all business lines and management levels.
- Strong organizational, planning, delegation, mentoring, and coaching skills.
- A passion for delivering the highest quality of guest service.

Pay
$80,000–95,000 (SIC Eligible).
