Cisco Associate (Part-time) Instructor Pool 2026 - 2027

Responsibilities

Planning and implementing Academy curriculum;
Evaluating Academy effectiveness;
Supervising Academy staff;
Managing the Academy/training budget;
Consulting with internal City departments and external agencies/municipalities regarding Academy curricula, programs and training.

Requirements

• Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in education, social science, business or public administration fields plus five years experience in education, training or the development of informal education programs which must have involved curriculum development AND two years supervisory or managerial experience involving program administration AND staff/program performance evaluations. Requires Microsoft Office or similar software skills, effective oral and written communication skills, valid driver’s license and good driving record. A Master’s degree in the stated fields will substitute for two years of the required non-supervisory experience.
• For Code Compliance Academy: Must have or obtain State of Texas Code Enforcement Certification within probationary period.
