CIS II Coordinator

Role Purpose
The Clinical Information System (CIS) Coordinator II supports system upgrades and enhances clinical information systems. This role involves engaging with hospital leadership, clinical departments, and IT teams to ensure smooth adoption and usage of clinical applications. The coordinator leads projects within individual healthcare sites and collaborates with IT partners to implement enhancements and upgrades.
Responsibilities
- Supports end users and improves processes through training, quality assurance, and process improvement initiatives.
- Provides new and ongoing clinical application training and assesses user knowledge levels.
- Works with department management to provide additional clinical application education.
- Gathers and interprets workflow and business requirements for impacted areas.
- Collaborates with colleagues to highlight key workflow changes in training activities.
- Participates in BJC CIS Teams and Projects.
- Assists with mapping workflows and reviews, tests, and implements system enhancements and upgrades.
- Aids clinical end users in understanding technical components of enhancements and upgrades.
- Led a CIS Team or Project and collaborates with IT partners to understand enhancements and upgrades, as well as targeted testing requirements.
- Maintains communications with hospitals regarding clinical application changes and upgrades.
- Assists in developing targeted communications from Project Teams for the end user community and CIS.
Minimum Requirements
- Associate's Degree
- 2-5 years of relevant experience
- Prior experience with clinical information systems preferred

- Bachelor's Degree
