About the role

Churchill, an investment-specialist affiliate of Nuveen (the asset manager of TIAA), provides customized financing solutions to U.S. middle market private equity firms and their portfolio companies across the capital structure. With over $52 billion of committed capital, we provide first lien, unitranche, second lien and mezzanine debt, in addition to equity co-investments, secondary solutions and private equity fund commitments.

Responsibilities

  • Portfolio summary data and analytics
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of existing data and proposing data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Calculation, review and delivery of performance metrics and investment track records
  • Using defensive and offensive analytics to identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, while also using data to drive opportunity identification
  • Providing data support for Churchill’s Investor Solutions Group & Client Services team with investor requests, DDQs, RFPs and management reporting

Requirements

  • Rising Junior or rising Senior (Class of 2028 or 2029) expected to graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Computational Finance, Economics, Accounting or other quantitatively focused curriculum
  • Strong technical skills with SQL, Python, and/or Power BI or other data visualization tools, with demonstrated ability to express complex ideas in a clear and concise manner
  • Strong attention to detail; careful review of facts and figures, quick to identify errors, ensure consistency of information
  • Familiarity with private credit markets, investment strategies, and asset classes is a plus
  • Outstanding interpersonal and written communication skills, effective and strong active listening skills
  • Proven track record of success collaborating in a fast-paced, results-driven team environment
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with an ability to negotiate, influence and gain credibility
  • Innovative and creative thinker; ability to make connections among previously unrelated notions, ability to project how potential ideas may play out

Base pay will be $30.00 per hour.
