Christmas Warehouse Assistant

About the Role

Coordinate and support the effective operation of the Christmas program distribution center by organizing space, directing volunteers, and assisting with the distribution and movement of gifts.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain Christmas program distribution space
• Direct volunteers in organizing the distribution center, loading and unloading of trucks, and moving gifts to appropriate areas
• Assist with gift distribution, late assistance, and moving out of the building
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Warehouse experience preferred
• Must possess a valid driver’s license from the state of residence
• Must be approved through The Salvation Army Fleet Safety Program to drive either a Salvation Army or personal vehicle on Salvation Army business
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to manage multiple tasks
• Ability to work flexible hours, including some weekend and evening work

• Speaking, hearing, and vision ability
• Walking, bending, and squatting
• Manual dexterity
• Lifting, pulling, and pushing materials up to 25 lbs.
• Standing up to eight hours per day
