Christmas Dancer
Open auditions for this role will be held on August 24, 2026 at 4:00 PM. Check-in is required at the Busch Gardens Human Resources Building (3605 E Bougainvillea Ave, Tampa, FL 33612). Applicants must apply online prior to the audition and bring a headshot, resume, dance heels, and flat dance shoes. Form-fitting attire is required.
About the role
Seeking dynamic dancers with great physicality and expertise in multiple dance styles for a limited-engagement Christmas show. Applicants must be available for all rehearsal and performance dates.
Schedule
Rehearsal Dates: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM on 11/9, 11/10, 11/11, 11/13, 11/17, 11/18, 11/19, 11/20, 11/21, 11/23, 11/24.
Performance Dates: 11/27, 11/28, 11/29, 12/4, 12/5, 12/6, 12/11, 12/12, 12/13, 12/17, 12/18, 12/19, 12/20, 12/21, 12/24, 12/26, 12/27, 12/28.
Perform 3-5 shows nightly for up to 40 hours per week, including special functions and rehearsals.
Responsibilities
- Perform in 3-5 shows nightly for the listed dates.
- Participate in maintaining Busch Gardens cleanliness standards.
- Provide and maintain specific instruments, including their working condition and appearance.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be available for all rehearsal and performance dates.
- Strong performance skills and expertise in multiple dance styles, including jazz, contemporary, ballet, tumbling, and partnering.
- Ability to perform with various props and special effects.
- Outgoing and friendly personality with versatility and improvisation skills.
- Outstanding performance and showmanship while performing set musical and dance selections.
- Ability to learn and retain multiple styles of dance choreography and blocking.
- Must professionally accept and implement critiques and notes from the Leadership Team.
- Flexible with work hours and working conditions.
- High school graduate (must be 18 years or older to audition).
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with ambassadors and guests.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, and/or carry up to 30 lbs. frequently.
- Extensive walking and standing throughout the entire work shift; may include climbing/ascending heights.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying Florida weather, including extreme heat.
- Exposure to fumes, dust, odors, and temperature extremes (cold/heat).
- Perform physical activities such as kneeling, squatting, bending, reaching overhead, simple grasping, and fine hand manipulation tasks (e.g., use of tools, keyboard, writing).
- Perform all cleaning duties, including the use of cleaning chemicals.
