Responsibilities
- Models the essence of exemplary guest service and professionalism.
- Lead a group of 5 rental technicians; assigning tasks, organizing breaks, scheduling, and approving timecards.
- Lead a pre-season inventory.
- Complete an end-of-season inventory.
- Ensure all rental forms are filled out thoroughly and correctly.
- Properly fit ski and snowboard equipment.
- Answer guest questions and provide detailed information about equipment.
- Become certified for the following binding brands: Salomon, Rossignol, Marker, Head.
- Perform all American Standard Testing Merchandise (ASTM) procedures including pre-season testing, in-season testing as required, in-person testing and accident report procedures.
- Proficient in point-of-sale operations, inventory systems, and other general computer literacy.
- Maintain all rental equipment in top condition through a regular maintenance program.
- Understand and follow standard procedures for repair and maintenance services and assign duties to rental technicians.
- Responsible for tool maintenance and keeping shop neat and organized.
- Inventories supplies or equipment and orders as needed with Children’s Manager.
- Accurately tracks equipment and ensures return.
- If late returns, charges appropriate card on file.
- Helps direct instructors who may be assisting Rental Department.
- Cleans shop areas including floors, counters, benches, racks, and shelves.
- Drive golf cart to and from beginner area.
- Set up and tear down the check-in yard.
Qualifications
- Experience in the ski industry; prior rental technician experience is preferred.
- Experience working as a leader or supervisor of a small team (2-5 people).
- Must be authorized to work in the USA.
- We are not sponsoring work visas at this time.
- Must be able to work full time over the busy holiday weeks/weekends.
- Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive and energetic with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Strong communication skills.
- Team player.
- Be able to identify areas that need improvement and have initiative to seek solutions.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests and other employees.
- Ability to do math.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.

Pay
Pay $23 – 25/hr; dependent on experience.
