What You'll Do
- Welcome with warmth and empathy: Actively greet visitors with kindness, compassion, and understanding—recognizing that families may be experiencing stress, worry, or joy.
- Guide with care: Badge and screen guests according to visitation guidelines, then help them navigate the facility with confidence.
- Support families: Determine destinations and transportation needs, offering assistance every step of the way.
- Transport patients safely: Provide internal patient transport that is both secure and engaging.
- Keep us moving: Stock and move wheelchairs, strollers, and carts to ensure accessibility across the facility.
What We're Looking For
- A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- At least one year of customer service experience, including conflict management.
- Understanding of developmental needs across all age groups—from neonatal to adult.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and prioritization skills.
- Confidence and composure in stressful situations, with the ability to diffuse negativity.
- Critical thinking skills to make independent decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Bilingual abilities preferred.
- CPR certification (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers) required within 90 days of hire.
Scheduling Requirements
- On-call shift: Required approximately once every two weeks. This is a paid “stand by” shift for illness replacement. Coverage includes 1st and 2nd shift on Saturday and Sunday. 3rd shift on-call coverage is required seven days a week.
- Every other weekend is required.
- Participation in a holiday rotation is required.
