CHILD CARE MONITOR II

Essential Performance Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct the Before and After School Care on-site program.
• Maintain a safe and enriching environment for participants.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

• A high school diploma or GED.
• One year of documented experience and/or training in a school-based aftercare program.
• Completed BASCC Comprehensive Child Care Components I and II or equivalent.
• At least ten hours of approved BASCC Child Care training annually.
• CPR/First Aid certification required and must be maintained.
• Computer skills as needed for the position.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Prior to Employment

• Florida Department of Children and Families (My Florida) three modules completed: Special Needs Appropriate Practices, Understanding Developmentally Appropriate Practices, and School-Age Appropriate Practices.
• At least ten hours of approved BASCC Child Care training annually.
• CPR/First Aid certification required and must be maintained.
• Computer skills as needed for the position.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
