About the role

The Native American Rights Fund (NARF) is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to help lead the organization through its next phase of growth. NARF is a 55-year-old 501(c)(3) legal organization dedicated to advancing and protecting Native rights and lifeways through litigation, legal advocacy, and expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Finance & Accounting, Development, Information Technology, Facilities, Human Resources, and Communications.

  • Drive cross-organizational alignment and effectiveness.

  • Build the infrastructure, organizational capacity, and culture of operational excellence necessary to advance NARF's mission.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree is required.

  • An advanced degree in business, finance, law, or related field is preferred.

  • Experience working with Native American communities, Tribal governments, and native advocacy organizations is preferred.

  • Experience working with mission-driven organizations, Public Interest Law Firms, or impact litigation non-profit organizations is also desirable.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $268,000 to $307,000. This salary range is based on the Denver Metro market and the 10-15+ years of experience required for this role. Actual salary within the range will depend on years of experience and qualifications of the successful candidate.
