About the role

Responsible for providing high-quality pediatric care and leading the Pediatric Department within a community health organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead clinical operations, establish scope of practice, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Supervise nurse practitioners and coordinate oral, behavioral, and case management services.
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative leadership on staffing, training, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Facilitate the Medical Home Model.
  • Develop and oversee policies, protocols, and pediatric clinical practices.
  • Participate in quarterly quality reviews and ensure departmental goals are met.
  • Represent the organization’s mission and organizational objectives, including productivity, patient satisfaction, and employee retention.

Requirements

  • MD or DO in Pediatrics, with 5+ years of primary care experience in a community or FQHC setting.
  • Active Florida Medical License and Board Certification in Pediatrics.
  • DEA license.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification.
  • Proficiency in EMR systems.
  • Practice and personnel management experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of pediatric diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care.
  • Understanding of FQHC operations and regulatory compliance.
