About the role
Responsible for providing high-quality pediatric care and leading the Pediatric Department within a community health organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead clinical operations, establish scope of practice, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Supervise nurse practitioners and coordinate oral, behavioral, and case management services.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative leadership on staffing, training, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Facilitate the Medical Home Model.
- Develop and oversee policies, protocols, and pediatric clinical practices.
- Participate in quarterly quality reviews and ensure departmental goals are met.
- Represent the organization’s mission and organizational objectives, including productivity, patient satisfaction, and employee retention.
Requirements
- MD or DO in Pediatrics, with 5+ years of primary care experience in a community or FQHC setting.
- Active Florida Medical License and Board Certification in Pediatrics.
- DEA license.
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
- Proficiency in EMR systems.
- Practice and personnel management experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Extensive knowledge of pediatric diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care.
- Understanding of FQHC operations and regulatory compliance.
