Chief of Pediatrics
About the role
The Chief of Pediatrics will oversee a well-established and talented pediatric department at Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA). CHA is an award-winning health system serving diverse communities through primary, specialty, and emergency care. The Chief will lead clinical, administrative, and academic efforts, manage a high-quality pediatric primary care practice, and oversee educational programs for Harvard medical students and pediatric residents.
Responsibilities
- Oversee a well-established pediatric department
- Provide clinical, administrative, and academic leadership
- Manage a substantial clinical Primary Care Pediatric or Adolescent practice
- Oversight of educational programs for Harvard medical students and Pediatric residents
- Develop and oversee graduate and undergraduate medical education programs
- Lead interdisciplinary collaboration
- Ensure high-quality pediatric primary care services
- Maintain a successful track record of professional development and mentoring of junior staff within a Primary Care setting
- Have a minimum of 10 years of post-residency experience and 5 years of leadership experience
- Be qualified for a clinical appointment at Harvard Medical School
Requirements
Candidate must have:
- At least 10 years of post-residency experience
- 5 years of leadership experience
- A successful track record of professional development and mentoring of junior staff within a Primary Care setting
- Excellent clinical and communication skills
- A strong commitment to underserved, multi-cultural patient population
- Experience with developing and overseeing graduate and undergraduate medical education programs
- Previous employment in an academic, safety net system
Qualifications
