About the role

The Chief of Pediatrics will oversee a well-established and talented pediatric department at Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA). CHA is an award-winning health system providing innovative primary, specialty, and emergency care to a diverse patient population through an established network of ambulatory clinics, an urgent care site, and two full-service hospitals. The incoming Chief of Pediatrics will provide clinical, administrative, and academic leadership while maintaining a substantial clinical Primary Care Pediatric or Adolescent practice. They will also oversee the educational programs for Harvard medical students and Pediatric residents on rotation from Massachusetts General Hospital.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical, administrative, and academic leadership to the pediatric department
  • Oversee the delivery of high-quality pediatric primary care services
  • Lead the educational programs for Harvard medical students and Pediatric residents
  • Maintain a substantial clinical Primary Care Pediatric or Adolescent practice
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality care
  • Develop and oversee graduate and undergraduate medical education programs
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws regarding healthcare and diversity

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of post-residency experience in pediatrics
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience in a pediatric setting
  • Strong clinical and communication skills
  • A successful track record of professional development and mentoring of junior staff
  • A strong commitment to serving an underserved, multi-cultural patient population
  • Experience with developing and overseeing medical education programs
  • Previous employment in an academic, safety-net system (a plus)

Qualifications

  • Medical degree (MD/DO)
  • Board certification in Pediatrics
  • Current license to practice medicine in Massachusetts
  • Successful track record of professional development and mentoring of junior staff
  • Ability to develop and oversee medical education programs
  • Experience with developing and overseeing medical education programs

Pay

The full-time salary range for this position is $300,000 - $325,000.
