Key Responsibilities
- Be the voice of the customers during product roadmap planning and prioritization
- Establish clear milestones for commercialization, revenue growth, and market expansion
- Identify and prioritize the most viable and scalable applications of the company’s core technology
- Lead the transition from custom R&D projects to standardized, productized offerings
- Drive product-market fit through customer discovery, pilot programs, and early deployments
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies, including pricing, distribution, and partnerships
- Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, focusing on high-value use cases
- Cultivate relationships with key customers, strategic partners, and industry stakeholders
- Guide development of marketing content, possibly be the one that creates the content, and represent the company at conferences and trade shows
- Support fundraising efforts, including venture capital, strategic investors, and grants
- Communicate effectively with the Board of Directors and stakeholders, supporting the CEO in ensuring everyone understands the defined vision, strategy, and objectives
- Provide sales perspective and expectations to the CFO to support budget creation, financial forecasting, and capital allocation strategies
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an executive, founder, or senior executive in an early-stage or scale up phase of a business
- Demonstrated success in commercializing disruptive technical, hardware-based products
- Experience transitioning from R&D or project-based work to product-driven revenue models
- Proven track record of progressing customers past pilot/validation stage
