About the role

UCT is a fast-growing sector in the semiconductor industry, evolving alongside technological advancements. As a Chemline Technician III, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving semiconductor manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced chemical processing, cleaning, coating, etching, and surface treatment of semiconductor chamber components.
  • Operate and maintain chemical process lines, monitor tank chemistries, and perform SPC measurements and process documentation.
  • Support troubleshooting, process improvements, and training activities while ensuring adherence to ultra-high-purity contamination control standards.
  • Verify production documentation, travelers, work orders, and process records for completeness and accuracy.
  • Troubleshoot routine process, chemistry, equipment, and quality issues and coordinate corrective actions when required.
  • Maintain contamination-control standards and ensure proper handling of customer-owned semiconductor components.
  • Assist in training and mentoring Technician I and Technician II employees in established chemline processes.
  • Participate in process qualifications, new customer requirements, and implementation of process improvements.
  • Handle hazardous chemicals safely and ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety requirements.
  • Maintain assigned work areas in accordance with 6S and housekeeping standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree in a technical field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of manufacturing, chemical processing, semiconductor, coating, plating, surface treatment, contamination control, or related technical experience required.
  • Experience operating chemical process equipment and handling hazardous chemicals preferred.
  • Experience with SPC measurements, process control, and production documentation preferred.
  • Semiconductor chamber-part cleaning, coating, refurbishment, or cleanroom experience strongly preferred.
  • Likely to have Lean manufacturing, Kaizen, or continuous improvement experience.

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of chemical processing, wet chemistry, cleaning, coating, blasting, etching, or surface treatment operations.
  • Ability to monitor and maintain process parameters using established specifications and procedures.
  • Experience collecting SPC measurements and maintaining process documentation.
  • Strong understanding of contamination-control principles and quality requirements.
  • Ability to interpret work instructions, process specifications, and production documentation.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and manufacturing data-entry systems.
  • Commitment to safety, environmental compliance, and 6S practices.

  • Ability to identify process deviations and assist in troubleshooting production issues.
  • Strong understanding of contamination-control principles and quality requirements.
  • Ability to interpret work instructions, process specifications, and production documentation.
