Chef Manager

About the role

Aramark Healthcare+ is seeking a Chef Manager for Penn Medicine - Chester County Hospital in West Chester, PA. This role develops and executes culinary solutions to meet customer needs and tastes, overseeing culinary operations to meet production, presentation, and service standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage production for three points of service: patients, retail, and catering.
• Train and manage kitchen personnel and supervise/coordinate all related culinary activities.
• Estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food.
• Select and develop recipes as well as standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality.
• Establish presentation technique and quality standards, and plan and price menus.
• Ensure proper equipment operation/maintenance and proper safety and sanitation in the kitchen.
• Oversee special catering events and may offer culinary instruction or demonstrate culinary techniques.

Job duties may change or new ones may be assigned without formal notice to meet commitments.

Requirements

• At least 2 to 3 years of culinary management experience with the ability to lead a team.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Healthcare experience highly preferred.
• Culinary Arts degree desired.
• SERV Safe certification or HACCP knowledge required.
• Experience with production systems is preferred.
