Chassis Technician - Level II

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Chassis Technician to join our team specializing in service for our Sales and Service business in Kenly, NC. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Sign on Bonus $5,000!!
• Completes repairs and maintenance on chassis products in a service workshop under supervision
• Applies documented procedures and policies to complete basic repairs and schedule maintenance, including preparing required parts and tools
• Disassembles, cleans and inspects chassis and /or chassis components
• Aids in completing required documentation, such as work completed documentation, time sheets, warranty claims and quality forms, via handwritten forms or business system input screens
• Completes training in line with skill and business requirements
• Maintains work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation
• Ensures adherence to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to their supervisor

Responsibilities

• Applies documented procedures and policies to complete complex repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools
• Disassembles, cleans and inspects chassis and /or chassis components
• Performs preventative maintenance based on assessment of chassis and chassis components
• Aids more experienced technicians with diagnostics and development of chassis repair plans in the workshop
• Completes required documentation, such as work completed documents, time sheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens
• Completes training in line with skill and business requirements
• Maintains work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation
• Adheres to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to their supervisor

Qualifications

• Apprentice Trained Technician (Preferred)
• Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
• Locally valid driving permit
