About the role

We are looking for a skilled Chassis Technician to join our team specializing in service for our Sales and Service business in Roanoke, VA. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

Key Responsibilities

  • Applies documented procedures and policies to complete basic repairs and schedule maintenance, including preparing required parts and tools
  • Disassembles, cleans and inspects chassis and/or chassis components
  • Aids in completing required documentation, such as work completed documentation, time sheets, warranty claims and quality forms, via handwritten forms or business system input screens
  • Completes training in line with skill and business requirements
  • Maintains work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation
  • Ensures adherence to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to their supervisor

Qualifications

  • Apprentice Trained Technician (Preferred)
  • Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
  • Locally valid driving permit

Experience

  • Advanced level knowledge of and/or experience with chassis products
  • Experience providing technical advice and coaching to more junior technicians (preferred)
  • Ability to diagnose, repair, rebuild transmissions on medium to heavy duty trucks and or RV's
  • Prefer Allison and Eaton experience
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing brake, suspension, and drive line components on medium to heavy duty trucks

Education

  • Apprentice Trained Technician (Preferred)
  • Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution

License and Clearance

  • A current valid license is required for this role
  • Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience
  • This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
  • A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire
  • Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older

Pay

Min Salary: $31.54
Max Salary: $47.31

Schedule

This role requires a 100% in-person/On-site work requirement.
