Charter Ramp Representative - DSM

Charter Ramp Representatives (CRRs) coordinate with the charter client and ground operations personnel to ensure non-standard weights (baggage and equipment) are loaded accurately with a focus on safety and weight and balance. CRRs perform cargo bin inspections prior to loading and after off-loading for items that do not belong or COMAT that needs to be identified on the BLR. The CRR ensures others are working safely according to the Company’s policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Send DoD Manifest to HQ
  • Prepares BLR for flight crew and ensures C820 HAZMAT form is completed
  • Secures the aircraft for departure, parking, or for RON
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Combination of education and experience will be considered
  • Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986
  • Must pass a criminal background check
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in customer service

Preferred Qualifications

  • Airline industry experience
  • Basic computer skills
  • Knowledge of general office equipment

  • Regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, climb, and use hands and fingers to operate various tools and equipment (e.g., hand trucks, carts, ramps, tugs)
  • Required to lift and/or carry up to 100 lbs and push and/or pull up to 300 lbs
  • May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation; regular attendance is required
  • Exposure to heights, small spaces, extreme noise (e.g., airport with planes, vehicles, and other machinery), temperature, wind, and light fluctuations
  • Ability to work in confined areas and crawl in and out of small spaces for extended periods
  • Ability to wear personal protective gear
  • Some travel may be required

Pay

  • Training hourly wage: $12 per hour
  • Post-training wage: $375 - $425 per trip

Allegiant is deemed an essential service provider during declared national and state emergencies. Team members will be required to report to their assigned trip or work location unless prohibited by local, state, or federal order.
