Role Overview
The Charge Registered Nurse utilizes theoretical concepts to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care in accordance with practice standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership in a Level 1 Emergency Trauma Center, ensuring high-quality patient care
- Support clinical team members
- Coordinate patient activities
- Maintain compliance with safety and procedural protocols
Qualifications
- Nursing degree (Associate's, Diploma, or BSN)
- Current RN license in the relevant state or compact licensure
- BLS certification required; additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, and others) based on departmental requirements
Skills & Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Perform physical tasks such as reaching, bending, kneeling, and twisting
