About the Role

As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC), you will ensure and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinate all functions in the unit/department during your designated shift. Collaborating with the management team, you will direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care in alignment with established policies and procedures. You will serve as a resource for staff and model the organization’s vision, mission, and values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality, patient-centered care.
  • Participate in the ongoing assessment of patient care services in collaboration with the management team.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to foster a teamwork environment that supports improved outcomes and service.
  • Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
  • Operationalize nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives to improve engagement.
  • Provide recommendations for interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.
  • Recommend and implement courses of action, such as training, conflict resolution, policy compliance, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions to build a competitively better organization.
  • Assist with staff scheduling and manage staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
  • Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Associate Degree in Nursing.
  • 1 year of experience required.
  • Certifications to be obtained within 30 days of employment start date:
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
    • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
    • NIH Stroke Scale.
    • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention.
    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
