About the role
Registered Nurse in the Pulmonary Department within a Med Surg 2 unit, providing specialized care for patients with respiratory conditions.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to acute and chronic respiratory patients, collaborating with hospitalists, pulmonologists, and respiratory therapists.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using nursing processes within organizational policies.
- Coordinate patient care activities and serve as a resource for staff guidance.
- Communicate patient status, departmental issues, and staff concerns to leadership.
- Provide clinical care as needed to manage patient census demands.
Qualifications
- Graduate of a nursing program.
- Current Georgia RN license or multistate license.
- Minimum of one year hospital nursing experience; two or more years preferred.
- BLS certification required; advanced certifications and a bachelor's degree are a plus.
