Charge Registered Nurse - Med Surg - Night

Role Overview: The Charge Nurse oversees efficient and safe patient care, supervises nursing activities, delegates tasks to staff and auxiliary nurses, and manages clinical records. They assist with bed assignments, address department issues, and maintain inventory standards for supplies, medications, and equipment. The role also involves tracking narcotics and medications to ensure compliance. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN)Current RN license in the state or a compact licenseRequired certifications include BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire; additional unit-specific certifications may be necessary such as ACLS, PALS, NRP, and others Physical Requirements Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbsProlonged standing and walkingFrequent bending, reaching, kneeling, twisting, and squatting
