About the role

Charge Radiology Technologist at Providence St Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR. Full-Time/Evening Shift - (4) 10 Hour shifts. Eligible external candidates may receive a $6,000 sign‑on bonus in addition to the base pay and benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Assume shift charge responsibilities: oversee exam workflow, provide staff training, address equipment and safety concerns, coordinate and collaborate with multiple departments.
• Perform imaging examinations per physicians’ orders using a variety of sophisticated imaging equipment, adapting to individual patient needs and age‑related considerations.
• Apply clinical knowledge and judgment for proper patient positioning, radiation dose calibration, and technique selection to produce optimal high‑quality images.
• Ensure minimal radiation exposure to patients and staff by adhering to ALARA principles.

Requirements

• Education sufficient to meet certification, license, or registration requirements.
• Oregon Radiographer License upon hire, or Oregon Radiographer Temporary License upon hire.
• National Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 6 months (180 days) of hire.
• National Provider BLS (American Heart Association) certification upon hire.
• New graduates must hold an OBMI temporary license and obtain a permanent license within 6 months of hire.

• Strong clinical knowledge of patient positioning, radiation dose calibration, and technique optimization.

Pay

Base pay range: $36.99 – $57.44 per hour. Additional compensation may include shift differentials, standby/on‑call pay, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Schedule

Full‑time position; evening shift consisting of four 10‑hour shifts per week.
