Charge Nurse (RN) - Progressive Care Unit

Key Responsibilities

• Providing leadership to telemetry staff caring for patients with telemetry, stroke, bariatric, and interventional cardiology needs.
• Managing human resources through staff evaluation, hiring, orientation, and ongoing education.
• Ensuring compliance with policies, standards, and safety protocols, while fostering teamwork and efficient workflow.
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives, cost management, and strategic planning.
• Maintaining current knowledge of regulatory requirements and clinical competencies.
• Facilitating communication among staff, patients, families, physicians, and management.

Qualifications

• California RN license and current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Successful completion of EKG and NIHSS within specified timeframes.
• Minimum of 3 years clinical experience with demonstrated leadership skills.
• Preferred qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), previous management experience.
