About the role
We are seeking a dedicated RN for a full-time, night shift position as a Charge Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
Responsibilities
- Leading telemetry staff in caring for patients with telemetry, stroke, bariatric, and interventional cardiology needs.
- Managing human resources through evaluation, counseling, hiring, and scheduling to ensure optimal staffing and compliance with policies.
- Providing clinical leadership, interpreting patient information, and ensuring appropriate, developmentally suitable care.
- Maintaining current staff records, facilitating staff development, and promoting effective communication within the team.
- Supporting hospital programs such as risk management, safety, and infection control.
- Assisting in policy review, cost controls, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Participating in departmental strategic planning and performance improvement efforts.
Qualifications
- California RN license, BLS, and ACLS certifications.
- Successful completion of EKG and NIHSS assessments within specified timeframes.
- Minimum of 3 years clinical experience with demonstrated leadership skills.
Preferred
- BSN and management experience.
