Emergency Department Charge Nurse (RN) responsible for managing daily operations, ensuring quality patient care, and supporting staff in a fast-paced emergency setting.
Responsibilities
- Oversee departmental activities
- Assist with recruiting and training
- Prepare reports
- Provide leadership in the absence of the Nurse Manager
- Assess staff competencies
- Assign patient care duties
- Communicate with management
- Maintain efficient unit operations
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school
- At least one year of RN experience
- Current RN licensure
- BLS certification required
- ACLS, CPI, PALS, and NRP certifications within specified periods
- Ability to coordinate patient care and lead staff effectively
- Preferred: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing
