Charge Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department

Role: Emergency Department Charge Nurse (RN) responsible for coordinating departmental activities, staff scheduling, and ensuring quality patient care in a fast-paced ED setting. Responsibilities Include Providing patient care aligned with standards and supervising RNs, LPNs, and CNAs based on patient needs and staff competencies.Managing daily staffing, training, mentoring staff, and overseeing orientation and competency completion.Acting as a liaison to internal and external customers, ensuring professional conduct, and tracking customer service performance.Developing and implementing plans to meet regulatory requirements and participating in continuous improvement.Handling high-stress decision-making independently and effectively managing departmental resources and budget. Qualifications Registered Nurse license in the state, CPR, ACLS, and other certifications as required by department.Minimum of two years relevant clinical nursing experience, with specialization depending on department needs.Effective communication skills, ability to implement change, and manage departmental operations.Preferred: BSN, management experience, and specialty certifications.
