Role Overview: Responsible for coordinating departmental functions within a Cardiology unit, including staffing, patient care, and compliance with regulatory standards. Acts as a liaison to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and service delivery. Key Responsibilities Supervises patient care, delegating tasks to RNs, LPNs, and CNAs based on patient needs and staff competencies.Manages staff scheduling, orientation, and ongoing competency assessments.Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and develops plans for quality improvement.Maintains high standards of customer service, tracking performance and addressing issues.Provides mentorship and training to team members, fostering a collaborative environment. Qualifications & Skills Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.Minimum of two years relevant clinical nursing experience, preferably in a Cardiology setting.Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage high-stress situations independently.Knowledge of departmental budget management and change implementation.Additional certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS, NRP) as required by specialty area.
