Role and Responsibilities: The Cardiology Charge Nurse (RN) oversees daily operations of a cardiac unit, ensuring quality patient care, safety, and compliance with standards. They coordinate staff activities, implement process improvements, and serve as a liaison with physicians and hospital administration. The nurse provides mentorship, training, and support to promote professional development and high-quality care. Qualifications and Skills: Candidates must hold an active RN license in the state, with a minimum of 3 years of Tele/PCU experience and at least 1 year in a charge nurse role. A nursing degree from an accredited institution is required, with a preference for a BSN. BLS certification is mandatory, and ACLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire. Strong leadership, communication, critical thinking, and team coordination skills are essential to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
