Charge Nurse (RN)

Role Overview: The RN Clinical Charge Nurse leads daily unit operations, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care. They serve as a caregiver with modified patient assignments, coordinate staffing, patient flow, and clinical protocols, and oversee compliance with professional standards and evidence-based practices. Key Responsibilities Supervise and assign staff, manage patient care, and monitor resource utilization.Perform patient rounds, evaluate care quality, and ensure individualized, relationship-based care.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, communicate with leadership, and promote teamwork.Support staff development through mentoring, foster a culture of safety, and participate in performance improvement initiatives.Ensure compliance with policies, licensing, and accreditation standards, including safety goals.Engage in evidence-based practice, research, and data collection to improve care outcomes. Qualifications & Skills Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing; RN licensure (single or multi-state).At least 1 year of nursing experience; clinical leadership experience preferred.Certifications: BLS required; specialty certification preferred.Strong communication, critical thinking, teamwork, and leadership skills.Proficient in technology and clinical documentation, with the ability to solve complex challenges.
