Charge Nurse (RN)

About the role

We are seeking a Charge Nurse to lead nursing teams in providing exceptional care to residents in a healthcare facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive health assessments and monitor resident care.
• Respond to medical emergencies, provide treatments, and manage emergency scenes.
• Maintain emergency equipment and supplies.
• Educate and train staff, serving as a preceptor for new nurses.
• Supervise nursing staff, delegate tasks, and review activities.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care.
• Review physician’s orders, administer medications, and document care.
• Perform laboratory procedures and ensure accurate documentation.
• Manage staff scheduling, including calling in replacements.

Qualifications

• Current nursing license and graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• At least two years of RN experience.
• Previous management or charge nurse experience preferred.
• Ability to provide patient care, interpret policies, and communicate effectively.
• Ability to collaborate with team members, work independently, and maintain professional documentation.
