Charge Nurse - Neuro PCU, Nights

About the Role

Coordinates the delivery of high-quality nursing care across the patient lifecycle, addressing operational issues during shifts. Provides clinical care as needed based on patient census and communicates patient care updates, departmental concerns, and staff issues to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the provision of safe, effective nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle.
• Manage operational challenges during shifts and serve as a resource for staff guidance and support.
• Communicate effectively with leadership regarding patient care, departmental issues, and staff concerns.
• Provide clinical assistance when patient census demands.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of hospital nursing experience; 2+ years preferred.
• Valid RN license in the state or multistate licensure.
• Required certifications include BCLS, ACLS, PALS, Chemotherapy/Biotherapy, NRP, AWHONN Fetal Monitoring, PEARS, and specialized certifications based on unit needs.
• Experience in emergency, labor and delivery, or pediatric care is advantageous.
