Charge Nurse - Neuro ICU

This role involves coordinating the delivery of high-quality nursing care across the patient lifecycle and managing operational issues during shifts. Responsibilities include providing clinical care as needed, communicating patient and departmental updates, and offering guidance and support to staff. Qualifications include a graduate from an accredited nursing school, with a preference for a Bachelor's degree. Minimum of 1 year hospital nursing experience required; 2+ years preferred. Licenses and certifications required include a valid RN license, BCLS, ACLS, PALS, Chemotherapy/Biotherapy, and NRP, along with specialty certifications such as PEARS and others relevant to specific units. Additional certifications may be needed based on the department, including TNCC, ENPC, and unit-specific certifications. Key skills encompass effective communication, leadership, clinical expertise, evidence-based practice, and collaboration with healthcare teams and patients. Core duties include assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, coordinating care delivery, promoting safety and health, evaluating outcomes, and practicing ethically and inclusively.
