About the role
Provides leadership and coordinates quality nursing care across various patient populations, ensuring effective communication of patient needs, departmental issues, and staff concerns. Acts as a resource and guide for nursing staff, supporting operational workflows during shifts.
Responsibilities
- Supervises delivery of safe, patient-centered care from birth through all life stages.
- Addresses operational issues and clinical needs based on patient census.
- Communicates relevant information to leadership and staff.
- Serves as a resource for staff guidance and assistance.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year hospital nursing experience; 2+ years preferred.
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the relevant state or multistate licensure.
- Required certifications include BCLS, ACLS, PALS, Chemotherapy/Biotherapy, and NRP.
- Additional certifications such as AWHONN Fetal Monitoring, PEARS, and specialty certifications may be required based on unit needs.
- Experience in emergency, labor and delivery, or pediatric care is advantageous.
